New Forest Hounds (Bloodhounds) – Hunting the Clean Boot since 2022

The New Forest Hounds have been hunting with Bloodhounds since 2022. Our hounds hunt the “clean boot” which means they follow the completely natural scent of a human runners (Quarry).

There is nothing more enjoyable than watching the Bloodhounds work across our beautiful hunt country, the New Forest. All our meets are suitable for all, from newcomers who would like to give hunting a go to the seasoned regulars, with two designated Field Master’s. One following a more direct route and the second more scenic route you’ll sure be in for a great day.

If you are not a horse rider you are still welcome to join and watch our hounds work as a foot follower.

Quarry Club

If you are a runner and fancy being part of our Quarry, our Quarry Club give you the opportunity to be part of the team alongside regular training runs throughout the year.

Fallen Stock Service

The New Forest Hounds also run a subsidised, professional DEFRA approved Fallen Stock service. Our team at kennels have over 20 years experience and offer a sympathetic and professional service.
