Maximus is a beautiful 15,3hh, 8 years old, Welsh section D gelding.
I am looking for someone to keep maximus in work 2 - 3 times a week, whilst I'm on 6months rest from back injury.
Max is the most kindest, genuine boy, he has excellent ground manners, however when under saddle he is slightly green, typical 'welsh', he has his quirks.. Nothing out of spite but he's bit spooky and thrives off the confidence of the rider. Therefore the rider must be experienced, very confident and lightweight. Preferably someone with welsh experience. Max has spent the last 3 years hacking alone or in company, he enjoys his job and is a comfortable fun ride. He has done some in hand and ridden shows and always does very well.
This last year he has been beginning in XC, jumping and again enjoys this but goes off the confidence of the rider as can shy from the jumps. He has spent the season out hunting with the new forest bloodhounds and has took this in his stride, he loves this the most.
I have access to a small school on the yard however he prefers to go out hacking. We have direct access to the forest with short or long Miles of hacking, we also have quiet road hacking.
Some stable duties will be required and a contribution towards his keep.
