Rumour is my lovely girl I brought as a 2 year, came to me with no passport or history, I have since had her passported vaccinations up-to-date recently had her wolf teeth removed. She was very lightly broken in before I found out her actually age since then I have let be a youngster turned out for grazing. Last summer I lightly brought her back into work, she has been hacking on her own and in company a handful of times. She’s well used to being lunged, popped over some jumps on the free rein. Has only been walked/trotted under saddle no canter Work I have not at all rushed her process. She has been wanted for nothing, absolutely adore her.

The type of Home I am wanting for my gorgeous girl, is someone kind, happy to not rush her. Can offer her a home where she will be with other horses. I do not at all believe in single turn out, horses should be with company. She would need a lightweight/petite Rider as she is short in the back and young she takes a 16.5 saddle. She would make a lovely all rounder in the right hands.

Rumour is happy to live in/out, she is barefoot with strong feet. Has never been sick or sorry. Gets on with Mares/geldings currently lives with both. She has never bucked/reared I have sat on her in the field without any tack she’s had a dog sit on her back she is very trusting, she has had my non-horsey partner sit on her. She’s had an eight-year-old ride her in the school. however she can be spooky out hacking and a little bit bargy at times but this can be fully worked on she’s just a typical youngster. She has had this winter off and needs slowly bringing back in with someone confident and understanding. Roddy (Kingston Brave)

7yo OTTB Gelding | Born Feb 2018

Roddy is a sweet-natured and genuine ex-racehorse who has been privately owned since November 2024. He retired from racing in summer 2024 after three runs and has since enjoyed living out in a small, settled herd.
He is easy to handle on the ground and good to catch.

Roddy received SI joint steroid treatment in July 2025, followed by physiotherapy and a period of groundwork. He was signed off as sound to return to ridden work in October 2025.
Prior to his treatment he was hacked out in company, with no issues.

He was restarted in the saddle two weeks ago, but is nervous at mounting, and although he is comfortable with being ridden, he is not progressing with mounting.

Reluctantly, circumstances with the owner’s health issues have led to this difficult decision. A kind and caring home where he can settle as a companion or alternatively continue his education would be ideal.

will be sold as seen from the field he was bought as a family horse and to become a therapy pony in years to come for my Disabled Son but unfortunately is not suitable.

He is young and very green he needs someone experienced and with the time to put in the work with him on the ground as well as ridden work.

He has been ridden by my 13yr old daughter who took him on after he it was made clear he didn’t like the arena she has done amazing work with him but he was not purchased for her she loves the arena. He does have an excitable buck daughter just laughs at it.

My daughter has done some work in the arena with him flat work, poles and some small jumps, however this is something he doesn’t seem to enjoy, he does have some issues with arena work and turns stale napping, planting himself and not wanting to move forwards in the right hands this could maybe be resolved, he has had back, teeth, saddle and vet check to rule out any pain related issues.

We have spent time hacking him which he seems to enjoy, as expected from a youngster he can be spooky, occasionally nappy on a hack again with someone more experienced may be overcome my daughter has taken him on a few hound exercises and drag hunts which he is a star, very well behaved, happy to sit at the back of the hunt and seems to enjoy this sort of work.

He is great to load and travel on a trailer or lorry, my daughter can clip him he is good as gold, great with the farrier he is bare foot.

Currently living out and will be sold as seen from the field as we have made the decision to stop riding him and turn him away until sold.

Lots of videos of him in ridden work and very honest advert will only be sold to a very experienced and knowledgeable home price reflects some of the issues he has open to a vetting.

She is with me on livery currently and has been a star these past few weeks hunting with a 12yro girl a fortnight ago jumping hedges bigger than her and to a show this past weekend jumping double clear with another junior rider, she’s practically push button when she’s in gear and going.

She’s totally bombproof to hack, she won’t go in front in company but will hack alone with persuasion.
