This lovely mare is sadly offered for sale as she deserves a home where she can continue to do what she enjoys most.
I bought her a year ago for my daughter to step up to from ponies with the idea of competing. However, it’s become clear that this isn’t what makes her happiest, and I’d love to see her go to a home where she can shine in her favourite job — hacking.

She is 17 years young, standing at 16hh, with a kind, gentle nature that makes her a joy to have around. She is excellent to handle in all ways – good to catch, lead, groom, tack up, load, and with the farrier. She’s safe and sensible on the ground and has impeccable manners.

🌿 Hacking:
She is the ultimate happy hacker. She hacks alone or in company, is brave and confident, and is not spooky at all. She will lead or follow and is happy in open spaces and traffic. Hacking is truly her happy place, and she’s the type you can just relax and enjoy the ride on.
I have had my none horsey husband hack her and she takes so much care of him.

🏅 Schooling/Competition:
In a previous life, she was a competition horse, which means she has plenty of ability, but these days the arena environment stresses her, and she can become strong. For this reason, I do not feel the school is the right place for her anymore and am looking for a home that will primarily enjoy her as a hacking partner.

She is fully up to date with vaccinations, teeth, chiro, and physio, and she has just had a fresh set of shoes put on.

Note: I had her hocks injected a few months after we got her as I thought that may have been why she is strong in the school and was disuniting in her canter. Turns out her hocks were fine but she had a very sore left hind soft tissue issue which caused this. After 3 sessions of chiro and bi weekly physio this was sorted and she's been fine ever since movement wise.

Bambi is a super genuine, kind horse who is ready to be brought on in any area.

He's been with us a little over a year, where he’s spent time mostly hacking and introducing schooling, pole work and has just began jumping. I bought him as a project to enjoy whilst my other horse was on box rest. He retired sound from racing as a 4 yr old and has had a quiet life adjusting to life off the track. He has a willing, happy temperament. He is fit, healthy and smart, wants to please and is happy to try anything. Although green he is brave, calm and a quick learner. He moves nicely and is just coming onto a contact but is still green in many aspects of schooling. He’s bold over poles and has plenty of scope.

He's a forward ride so would benefit from an experienced rider (but is never dangerous, has no ridden or handling vices and I have always ridden him in a snaffle). He hacks sensibly alone or in company. He isn’t spooky and is happy going over ditches, water, past traffic & animals (no issues with crab flies). He stands quietly by the lorry alone or with horses - I've taken him show jumping schooling and to a dressage competition where he was very relaxed, including in the warm up ring.

He is amazing to hack with company and in his own, he is good to load, shoe, clip , dentist etc, he currently only has front shoes but has been fully shod before.

Prince is green in the school but has come on massively and will continue to with the right person. He has lots of potential to exceed in dressage. Will happily do ground poles, I haven’t done a lot of jumping with him so unsure on where he would be with that.

15.1 hh 5 year old (2020) dark bay TB mare. An attractive, genuine and kind character who is still green, but learns quickly. She has done little other than hack, but has started doing some schooling and popping little fences which she enjoys. She is not at all spooky with fillers.

With more work, she will produce a nice dressage test and could go on to do all RC activities and is eligible for ROR. She ran 6 times in 2023 when she was retired sound from racing, as she came last every time out. Good to hack alone or in company and good with traffic, we haven’t seen heavy traffic but not phased by light traffic. Snaffle mouth.

Currently living out which she seems to prefer. She lives on her own or with others. Does weave in stable if ever she is stressed. Good to shoe, box, catch and clip. She is a very good doer, has good feet ( doesn’t need shoeing behind) up to date with flu/tet and had her teeth recently floated. Has had routine chiro.

I have decided to find Prince a new home where he can be used to his full potential as currently wasted with me. I have owned Prince since a yearly primarily as a companion for my old TB. He’s a lovely well mannered horse, but has a very nervous disposition at times. He’s great to lunge and long rein, and has done a lot of ground work. Was backed in 2023 and didn’t put a foot wrong, he was ridden for over 6 months regularly, very forward horse and extremely sensitive so has a tendency to rush forward and spook . He needs a kind understanding and experienced home, he has lived out 24/7 and is a good doer so would suit a companion home, liberty work or someone brave who is able to continue his ridden career. He’s fine with vet and up to date with vaccinations and teeth, he’s nervous around male farriers but will stand still with a few treats in hand. Home more important than price so this is negotiable. Cody has come over from Ireland having mainly driven over the past year but under saddle has done lots of hacking and been on a fun ride. We don’t have anything here to try out the driving but am told he was super at this job.

Forest (stable name) is a very handsome, well bred 16.2hh, bay 5year old sports horse gelding. Bred by Wellpark Sports Horses.
He is lovely to have around, easy & loves attention. Hacks out alone & in company & is good in traffic. He does not have to be ridden every day. Stays the same no matter. Schools nicely.
He has attended various SJ clinics, & a few dressage competitions with +65% scores. The judges like him!

Forest would make someone a lovely show Hunter, RC all rounder type or maybe a very smart Hunter? He is currently being wasted due to too many horses & complete lack of time (work schedule). He was bought to event, but feel at present not his thing - maybe in time?
Honest bit: Forest was up for 3 x the money, but we discovered he had a heart murmur at the vetting - all now been tested (have cardiology report) & it will not effect his performance! He passed flexion but then presented 1/10 lame on a tight circle. I investigated & had his hocks medicated. Again vet loved him & said he can do anything & everything now - all good, so yo speak. Liphook - are happy to discuss - as am I all fully disclosed.
With all this in mind I have priced him accordingly. So…
If you want a super smart horse to continue to bring on and have some low level or perhaps more fun on don’t rule him out. He is SO personable!

15hh 11 year old gelding

Jacob loves to hack, either alone or in company. He needs a confident, competent rider as he is excitable and forward going, and can be strong. He's currently ridden in a 3 ring gag on the middle ring.

If you're looking for a horse that will take you for a blast across a forest green, and then walk politely on the buckle, he's the boy for you. Jacob goes through rivers, pops logs, opens gates, isn't phased by loose dogs and running ponies, and he'll let you hop on and off easily. He is not spooky or silly and doesn't throw shapes, he's just keen to stretch his legs!

Jacob is green in the school simply due to lack of access, but he's forward going, responsive, and completely willing to listen and learn.

Jacob is fit, currently going out at least 3 times a week. He's a good doer, he has been barefoot since Christmas and copes fine even with a mile's roadwork to get on the forest. He's a dream to load, clip, have feet trimmed and behaves for the vet. He's currently living in a mixed herd and lives out 24/7.
He's recently had to have an incisor removed but it doesn't affect him. Other than that no lumps or bumps. He's got typical thick cob feathers which I keep trimmed as he's previously had mites.

Jacob is a sweetheart who would suit a competent teenager or smaller adult who just wants to go out and have some no fuss fun.

Very tentatively offering my boy up for sale, through absolutely no fault of his own.

Strikingly handsome 6yo sports horse gelding, approximately 16hands (although he is incredibly deep and seems larger). Pongo has been started slowly and has not been rushed in anyway, owing to my pregnancy and having a baby. However, this has given him time to mature mentally and physically and fill out correctly. Backed by myself (whilst pregnant), he has been very uncomplicated throughout. I have been able to pick him up and put him down without any issues, and he is genuinely just wants to please.

This horse is bred to event, his dam is 3/4 sibling to Opposition Buzz and his sire did some grassroots eventing before concentrating on dressage. Pongo only started jumping this year but is proving to be quite brave and straightforward. He went to his first arena sj hire a couple of weeks ago (his first time seeing fillers or a full course and a water tray), and he was not phased in the slightest, surprising me with how genuine he was. Has seen XC fences and I truly believe he has the ability to be a future event horse.

Hacks alone, or in company, he is used to farm machinery/quarry trucks/cows etc. Pongo has three good paces and a naturally good rhythm, he would equally make a pure dressage horse. He is always snaffle mouthed - he’s slightly more whoa than go - and requires no ‘gadgets’. As easy as he has been, he will not be sold to a novice as he is still young and developing.

Asides from his ridden ability, this boy is a very sweet and friendly person. He comes to call in the field, and is fantastic to handle - I juggle him alongside the dog and baby in pram - he even took part in our wedding! He is good with the farrier, good to clip and to travel (never travelled in a trailer, but has loaded into one). Pongo is currently living out, although will require stabling during the winter, he can be stressed if left in on his own.

Owned from 8 weeks old, this is an incredibly heartbreaking sale, and something that I have been putting off for a very long time, however, a horse like this needs to be out competing and that I something that I’m not in the position to do right now. I will never be able to afford to buy a horse like this again, only for sale to the absolute best of homes
