Carlos 11hh, 18 year old bay gelding. We have owned Carlos for just under a year and in that time we have done Showjumping both on and off the lead rein, hacking, pony club rallies and camp this summer. Only for sale as we predominantly hunt and Carlos is too much for my young daughter off the lead rein. We feel he would be better suited to a non hunting home, or a confident 2nd ridden if hunting. He currently lives at the hunt kennels. Good to catch. 9 times out of 10 good to load but can be cheeky. Just need to walk up behind him and he loads. Good in traffic. My daughter has hacked him off the lead rein, cantering with me. He has done PC games ect. He is a typical Welsh and can have cheeky moments and for that reason he would not be suitable for a complete novice. Fine for farrier and he can be tied up and groomed, picked feet out by my daughter. Fine to clip bar round his head. Needs sedating. Would be open to loan with view to buy. Home more important than price. £2000 ono

Peanut – Super-Sensible 11.3hh Family PonyPeanut is a gorgeous blue-and-white, 4-year-old cob gelding standing at approximately 11.3hh. He has been broken to ride and was also lightly driven before coming to us.He is incredibly sensible for his age and has been handled, cared for and ridden by small children. Peanut absolutely loves children and is exceptionally cuddly and affectionate—he will happily stand for hours enjoying attention and would quickly become any child’s best friend.Nothing seems to faze him. He remains completely relaxed around heavy traffic and doesn’t react even when plastic bags are waved around his head. He is still green in the school due to his age, but is an easy, straightforward pony to hack.Peanut is excellent to catch, load and have his feet done, and is safe and easy to handle on the ground. He is passported, wormed and up to date with the farrier. He would make a lovely family friend or showing prospect for someone who can continue his education and help him reach his full potential. A knowledgeable, loving home is essential, as this special little pony deserves the very best.📍 Based in Surrey💷 £2,000
Honest advert, please read all the details, further information, photos and videos can be supplied as needed. Bandit is a fun, friendly hairy cob who loves hacking, alone or in company, and is good in all traffic and unfazed by all the sights and sounds of the new forest. He has also been used for lessons, he enjoys low level jumping and schooling and follows you around like a friendly labrador! Bandit has had 6 months off due to a collateral ligament injury to his hock in May 2025. He has been correctly and successfully rehabilitated under veterinary guidance and brought back into work slowly and has now been back to full work for 3 months. He is happiest when he has something to do and particularly loves hacking. He has been on loan as a share between my friend and her 12 year old daughter for the last 2 years but lack of time forces sale, previously he was our daughter’s pony joining us for picnics, pub trips and has been professionally schooled. Most suitable for a confident child, a teenager or a small adult. He is good for the farrier, vet, travel etc. Currently bare foot but was shod behind during his rehab. Lives out, though happy to be stabled if needed at times. Currently he is living happily with another mare and previously with geldings with no issues other than he is quite greedy! He has however been seen to mount an in-season mare who was particularly encouraging. He is confirmed not to be a rig and displays only gelding behaviour at all other times but for this reason we would recommend a gelding field companion would suit him best. Proper fencing needed as he may escape for an adventure if the opportunity arises. Up to date with vaccinations, teeth, feet etc. Price includes tack. £2500. Priced to reflect previous injury and low mileage. Price negotiable to a good home. No dealers please. Whatsapp or txt messages preferred initially.
If you’re looking for a friend to join your family to really enjoy your riding, you may have found her.She is a full up solid 14.2, happily carries an adult yet is well behaved for children too.She really does ‘have the T shirt’ have been in her current family home for the last 3 years. She has introduced a novice teenager to hunting, low level shows including showing, showjumping etcShe was driven in her home before by her elderly farmer owner who rode and drive her. We have driven her since (well someone else did) and she absolutely knows what she is doing. She is very easy to drive and would very easily return to this job too. Whilst she’s not a sporty athletic cob, she does enjoy being ridden and always has a smile on her face and happy ears! She jumps small courses, but if you’re looking to jump more than 60cm and race against the clock she’s probably not for you.She is reasonably forward going, but still steady if that makes sense?! She doesn’t rush off but she has active paces whilst always being comfortable. You can do sitting trot and enjoy cantering without her pulling, bunking you around or generally needing too much ‘riding’She is happy to go in an arena and works politely in all three paces BUT please remember she has been the horse that has taught people and given them confidence, so she’s no dressage diva! She would do an accurate prelim test if that was your thing, but if you want to be on Team GB by Christmas, again, she’s probably not your match. She’s ace on beach rides and fun rides, patiently waits if you need to scoop up kids, canters in front of behind, or walks, very nicely if you’ve had enough, have a stitch and quite frankly just want to see the lorry park again. She’s got character, loves her hoomans and really is a type of special friend that is very difficult to find. She’s good with all the usual things traffic, farrier, travelling etc etcShe’s up to date with vaccinations, worming, shoeing, and is open to vet. Please text if I do not answer the phone and I’ll call back. She will have her comfy tack and rugs to go with her and I’m happy to deliver her to her new family within reason. This is a very sad and quite difficult sale. She can be seen with a friend so that you have access to an arena and better hacking. You can speak to owner, friend she’s living with and even her home before if you feel the need to.She really is very special£9000 inc tack and rugs and potentially happy to drop her to you depending on location
Rosie has low mileage as her job has been a companion for most of her life (fine with being left on her own). We relocated to the new forest this summer and she has spent it hacking, schooling, popping jumps and offering pony rides to family and friends. She’s ready for a new job as a children’s pony as it’s utterly selfish for me to keep her for myself. She hacks alone more often than not but also loves having friends to ride with, seeing heavy machinery, coaches, trucks, bikes on a daily basis and has never batted an eye. She’s safe, steady and reliable but will also hold herself in an outline when asked. I would love for her to go to an active home and become a little girl/boy’s best friend. She’s a weight carrier and will carry an adult as happily as a small child, she really couldn’t do any more. Same home since 2yo. £3,500Available for viewing near Beaulieu, New Forest Please send email, WhatsApp or text message to enquire

Hi, we have Banjo, our 13.1hh, 17-year-old New Forest pony, for sale. We’ve had him for over 3 years, but sadly he needs to find a new small jockey as my daughter has moved on to a bigger pony and my son is happy on his current one. He’s a really fun, forward pony who has never bucked, reared or done anything nasty. He can be a bit nappy when going away from other horses, so I’d say he needs a confident child, although he doesn’t mind being on the lead rein for a younger sibling. He’s done junior camp this year and was voted the group’s favourite pony to ride by the other girls, which says a lot about his lovely character! He would give a confident child the best time. He absolutely loves hacking out on the Plain and keeps up really well with my big horses. I also think he would absolutely love pony racing! He’s also really fun to jump, although my daughter isn’t the bravest, so we haven’t done nearly as much as he’s capable of. He’s been out on hound exercise a couple of times too, but again, because she isn’t very brave, we haven’t hunted him.He has never had a day lame and has never needed to see the vet during the time we’ve owned him. He’s been a much-loved part of our family and we’re really keen to find him the right little person and home. 😊£4,500 including tack and rugs.WhatsApp preferred as bad signal here

🌟 ABERLOGIN DWYNWEN – 7yo Welsh Section D Mare 🌟A lovely 7-year-old Welsh Section D mare with excellent breeding and a really exciting future ahead of her.Poppy was very much a field ornament until this summer, when she was brought in and started her ridden education. She has taken to life under saddle exceptionally well and is proving to be a very sweet, willing and uncomplicated mare. She has been backed this summer and is currently walking and trotting under saddle, already working nicely into a contact for such a green horse. She has started schooling and is progressing really nicely, has hacked out alone and has now been introduced to poles. She is very good for the farrier, vet and loading, and is a genuinely lovely mare to have around. Although she is still very green in her education, she has shown a fantastic attitude to everything asked of her and is enjoying her new ridden life.Beautifully bred, with a lovely traditional Welsh D stamp, she is an exciting prospect for someone wanting to bring on a quality young mare and produce her their way. With time, patience and continued education, she has the potential to be a really lovely riding horse and someone’s future best friend.7yo | Welsh Section D | Mare | Excellent breeding | Backed this summer | Walk, beginning to trot | Working nicely into contact | Hacked alone | Schooling | Poles introduced | Good to load, farrier & vetSouthampton/ Nursling.📍 £5,250A very genuine opportunity to purchase a quality, unspoilt Welsh D who has only just begun her ridden career and has taken to it beautifully.
