Description

Very sad sale of this sweet gelding who has been my daughter’s first pony and a wonderful family pet for the last few years.

Disco is 11.2 Welsh part-bred (green passport) and 17 years young. He loves hacking through forests and along country lanes and isn’t phased by farm machinery or traffic. He did mini Pony club camp last summer all off the lead rein with my 7 year old and they had a lovely time.

He loves his jumping and has been competing him at 30 and 40cm assisted for school at NSEA and for pony club, competing at Bicton Pony Club Mini champs in August 2024 and has already qualified for 2025. He will jump anything in front of him and doesn’t mind wobbly riders as he will follow the adult wherever they lead. In Feb half term 2025, he came 1st at Bovington RAC showjumping comp in the L/R 40cm and 4th in the Assisted 40cm, (clear rounds for both).

He has been to the Pony Club meet and behaved beautifully. He also went cubbing and hunting on the lead rein with his previous owners. He is happy to be led from a horse and has a quick stride so he keeps up well.

Disco does not really like schooling in an enclosed arena - he is fine when an adult is walking alongside/ on the lead rein or with my older daughter but is quite scared of shouty instructors and sometimes naps back to the gate or where the adults are standing. He never bucks or rears but if you come up behind him with a stick, he will scoot forward as we think he has sadly had a bad experience in the past.

We are still in touch with his previous owners and who also love him very much and we can both provide loads of photos and videos. He will only go to a lovely family home where he’ll be appreciated and well-cared for. £3000 incl. tack

13.3hh new forest gelding.

Monty is a 13.3hh new forest gelding 18yrs
Monty took my daughter through a fabulous week of pc camp in the summer- show jumping, cross country and dressage as well as Mounted games at a busy county show and numerous rallies.
He has taught my daughter how to jump and has given her hours of hacking fun.
He is responsive to the rider and will occasionally put a stop in if he thinks he can get away with it.
He loves attention, is great for the farrier and up to date with teeth and vaccinations.
He occasionally needs assistance when loading and needs to be sedated for clipping.
Easy to catch, turns out in the arena in a mixed herd.
Lots of videos and pictures on request.
Comes with tack.

Description

Really smart 11.1hh Chestnut Roan gelding rising 5yo By Penplas Glyndwr.

Has been hunting and to PC rallies. Has proved to have a real pop over a fence and is very bold and happily trots around a small course with my 3yo daughter and doesn’t get strong or silly.

2 x 1st and Mini Champion at his first show under saddle having previously been successfully shown in hand as a youngster.

Will make a top class M&M LR but would equally make a cracking SHP/Cradle Stakes pony/PC pony and although he hasn’t been ridden off the LR due to not having a jockey to pursue this I feel in time this will be his forte. He’d be a perfect pony for the LIHS Qualifiers.
Still eligible for Novice classes for 2025.

Adores children and is handled daily by my 3yo daughter. He has a lovely temperament , loves kisses and cuddles and will stand to be fussed and brushed for hours.

Good to clip, load, with farrier.
Up to date will teeth/vaccinations etc
Only for sale due to my daughter already having 2 ponies in the same classes.

He will only be sold to a 5* home where he can be part of the family like he is with us.

£3995 including rugs and bridle
Based in Salisbury

Description

Very hard decision but sadly our beautiful Finny boy is just not the pony for us. A stunning skewbald dartmoor hill pony, rising 6 this year but is proving a bit too green for his 10 year old novice, just off lead rein jockey. Needs more riding than we can do and would benefit with a more experienced jockey, either teenager or small adult that wants a fun all rounder pony, that could continue his education. Very quick learner and loves to be doing fun things. A lovely forward going hack, alone or in company. Loves jumping logs in the forest and has seen some showjumps but green in this area. Has been to pony club rallies and mounted games competitions, not phased by any equipment. Hasn't seen a lot of traffic as we have direct forest access. Has travelled regularly in a trailer alone and in company, can take a few minutes to load. Still needs to learn a few manners on the ground but think that's partly due to boredom and not doing enough. Will live in or out and very good at being left in stable alone. A very loveable cheeky boy that just needs a bit more work to make him the perfect pony. Up to date with jabs, teeth, worming etc. Will come with saddle, bridle and rugs. For more details, pics, videos or to come and view, please call/text Megan on 07780 473536.

Description

Snappy (Hollyhatch Snappy Chap). 13.2hh new forest, 19 years young and a total pc school master. We have had him for 10 months during which time he has gone hunting, pony club camp and local competitions. Has a BE record and is known on the NSEA circuit having been ridden as part of the Bryanston schools teams with his previous owner as well as with the Portman pony club with his current rider and old owner. Snappy loves xc and showjumping but will also produce a good dressage test.

Snappy is a perfect hacking pony and will jump logs and xc jumps, he’s good on the road with other horses. Great with farm machinery and all sorts of traffic. I also ride and lead with him off my horse in a head collar walk, trot, canter and jumping he’s a super easy horse in this respect meaning you can still keep him fit without riding. I have also taken him hunting myself and he’s lots of fun jumping big ditches, hedges and rails happy at the back or front. However not a novice ride to hunt.

He would make a good second pony for a competent child wanting to progress further! He’s good to hack in company or alone, good for the dentist, to be shod, catch and turned out. Although needs to be sedated to be clipped.

Please feel free to get in touch for more photos and videos or information.

Description

This pony has given all our children the most amazing times. Now sadly outgrown. She will do lead rein, but is more of a second pony, as a bit cheeky for a 1st ridden. She has done PC camps, unaffiliated dressage, showjumping and showing.
Good to do in all ways, groom, loads, clip, travels, farrier. Good pedigree. Sad sale, as our youngest needs more of a first ridden now. Sold with rugs, boots, saddle cloths and some tack. £6,500 ono

Description

13.2 Grey Irish Gelding 6 years old.

Sad sale due to my chronic health conditions.

Fudge is a nice stamp of a pony and a good looking boy with character.

Not your average 6 year old as I have taken a lot of time in giving him a good early basic education so hes not been rushed.

Weve had a lot of fun with groundwork, enjoyed games with toys and done loads of obstacles and Trec .
Weve done online Trec competitions consisting of obstacle courses and walk and trot MA which is control of paces.
Hes done very well at these and always been placed.
Hes bold and brave and not phased by anything Ive given him to do (has been led over poles completely covered by a plastic tarp )

Hes hacked out alone (with a walker) on our quite busy lane and on our Common.
Not phased by traffic but slightly wary of loose dogs that are not under control but takes confidence from his rider.

Very inquisitive so he will have a good look at things to work out what it is.
Has never bolted, bucked or reared with a rider.

Hes been to several local obstacle clinics in an indoor school so hes worked with other horses on a few occasions.

Hes good to catch and lead.
Good for Farrier (Barefoot) Vet, Dentist, good to groom and tack up and easy to worm.
Good to clip (with a haynet) and does need this done fairly regularly otherwise gets too hot with a thick coat.
Had feather mites in the past (now sorted) and has VERY MILD CPL so clipping legs is advisable.
Up to date with everything.

Can be stabled and has been but is happier being out . Can be food dominant.
Happy to stay in the field alone when I take my other pony out.

So a reluctant sale on my part but I feel Im holding him back as I cant ride very often .
I feel hes now ready for some consistent work to really bring him on for future adventures.
He has fabulous potential in any sphere, just needs to find the right person.

.
Not a childs pony at the moment but with a competent teenager or small adult would flourish in any sphere.
Potential new home will be vetted as I want the best for his future .

Only serious enquiries please.

£3995 But negotiable to the right home. Can come with a couple of rugs if wanted.

Description

Tatti *Gift from Tatania* is a very sweet 13.2h New Forest Chestnut Mare rising 9yrs.
Sire: Limekiln Brigardier
Dam: Moorbridge Clare

We bought the lovely Tatti as a first pony for my 12 year old daughter. She is an active, forward thinking pony who is keen to learn and please. She has a lovely temperament, has been well handled and loves a pamper. We got her when my daughter was just walking and trotting so Tatti hasn’t had much experience cantering. We have taken her to pole clinics, in the school, and lots of rides on the lanes and in the forest. My daughter had a fall learning to canter which has really knocked her confidence. Tatti can be strong and my daughter lacks the strength and is still developing her seat. We feel she needs a more experienced, older schoolmaster. Tatti needs an experienced, balanced rider to bring her on and continue her progression. She is clever and quick to learn. She has been showered with love and affection and we want her to go to a loving home.

Tatti happily comes in from the field when called, great on the forest and doesn’t spook or get silly with others horses or cows, great with traffic, farm machinery, farrier, clipping, loading and transporting. She is currently stabled at night. She had a mild bout of laminitis last spring which was easily managed with her diet and hasn't been an issue since. She hasn't had any injuries or illnesses. She is such a lovely pony.

£4,500 ono. Comes with rugs, tack and happy to negotiate selling the saddle- kent & masters.

Boothsdale Dolly Parton

4yr old (this time) exceptionally well bred Welsh A mare.

Breeding needs no introduction at all
Sired by Criccieth Arwr X Boothsdale Dotyn.

Criccieth Arwr His winnings when shown as a youngster and stallion were extensive - he is one of very few ponies to have won at Lampeter, Glanusk and the Royal Welsh in the same year.

Dolly stands 11.3hh and is a lovely substantial mare. I purchased Dolly with intention of breeding from her due to her fabulous blood lines but a mare I’ve always wanted suddenly become available. So I think as a 4yr old Dolly deserves to find a loving home where she could go off and possibly become a child’s best friend.

She’s not for a novice she’s a young mare with some Welsh fire but absolutely no malice. She would benefit from a show home or an asset to any stud. She moves for fun 🤩

Equally happy to have her cover by my stallion here.

She had her teeth done 18/2/25
1st vaccine 18/2/25
Feet trim 12/2/25

Absolutely no messers or day dreamers please she is a quality mare with a huge future ahead of her.

£1000 transport available at cost based SN8 Nr Tidworth Wiltshire.

Felldownhead Hullabaloo

Approx 14.2
Rising 4 years
Grey
Mare
Sire - Connemara - Cloughbrak Rory
Dam - Thoroughbred - Ziggerson Hill

A nicely bred mare with great looks and even better personality. A level headed, nice person to be around that takes everything in her stride.

Very well handled and has had a superb steady start to life after being purchased direct from the breeder by current owners.

Just recently been backed over the last 4 weeks and is now schooling well in walk, trot and canter. Working well over trot poles and has popped her first fences with ease. She has also been hacked out and proving good with traffic.

A lovely type with nice paces and honest attitude to her work.

Has been shod in front and had her first clip without issue.

A perfect project for a potential childs competition pony. Lulu has shown a lot of promise to be a super allround type but with the attitude to suit a younger rider.

Description

Fionn is a lovely pure bred Connemara pony with the bonus of her unusual colour - Perlino/cream. Colour tested double cream gene.
She is a lovely compact but solid type standing at 14hh. She has excellent class 1 breeding & is N/N certified , bought with PC eventing in mind. She is rising 5 years old.
Fi has fabulous movement & an amazing natural jump. She is quick to learn, intelligent & brave. Good with farrier, box, handle etc. she was backed & started December 2024 once her foal was weaned.
She was proving to love the work & stimulation! Lunges, long lines, lightly ridden & hacked out before being turned away again due to lack of regular rider & her usefulness as a companion to the baby horses.
Fionn was an amazing protective mum & foaled down very easily.
I have owned since a yearling - she was originally imported from Ireland as a weanling.

Now really needs a job & someone to do her justice. She is a real competition prospect. Just Needs experienced home for her to develop her potential. She is not a ploddy type - quick thinking competition/PC prospect or ideal for small plucky adult. Would do well in the show ring too - WHP etc.

Her gorgeous grey buckskin colt may also be available - he is Connie x TB (by the fabulous Ninth House). Expected to make approx 15hh. Nearly as big as mum at 9 months. He has real presence & sass! He’s be £3950

Fionn is currently woolly & out 24/7 so currently sold from field at bargain price of £4750. If I bring her back in & restart (soon) price will significantly increase! Just need a jockey!
Open to vet.
Please no time wasters or novices. Some videos available including under saddle & more photos.
Tack also negotiable - nearly new Excelle GP

For sale on behalf of client

George is a 14.2hh 8 year old cob gelding. Good to hack alone & in company, good in traffic, box & clip. Never strong, snaffle mouthed at all times.

George is a perfect all rounder and is much more of a kick than a pull. He has recently returned from a month of schooling with Alec Miles where he attended numerous arena hires. George was previously in a riding school for a short time. He will work nicely in the school for an experienced rider that uses a lot of leg but he finds it quite boring so is quite lazy, he would therefore much prefer a more varied life without too much school work.

Hassle free sale wanted but only available to the best of homes. No known vices, open to any vet/ trainer. Up to date with vaccinations, teeth, physio, farrier & worming.

£5000 Kent and master saddle & bridle available at separate cost. Hampshire based

CWM-MEUDWY CUDYLL (Rocky)

11.3hh Registered Welsh Section A Gelding

This is a sad sale of our much-loved family pony, Rocky, who has been outgrown by our 9-year-old daughter.

Rocky is a lovely chap, very sweet and very pretty. He absolutely loves to be fussed over and will happily stand for hours being brushed and pampered.

He has been handled entirely by our daughters (aged 5 and 7 at the time of his purchase) since the day he arrived with us two years ago. They can turn him out and bring him in and tack up/untack him without needing any help. He really is a fantastic pony around small children and is perfectly happy to be dressed up for Christmas, Easter, Halloween etc!

Rocky is 100% safe in traffic and with all farm machinery, having lived on our dairy farm for two years. He will be 18 in May this year; he is in very good health and is not on any medication.

Rocky was, and would still be, a brilliant lead rein pony. He is lovely and steady for little ones. He is also a perfect children's hacking pony, both on and off the lead rein. Never silly out hacking and will happily trot or canter along behind my horse without any issue. He will hack alone or in company and he will go first or last. You can also ride and lead him without a problem.

In an arena, he is happiest either on the lead rein, or when he can follow behind another pony. He lacks a little bit of confidence being lead file in a group lesson/rally if he is off the lead rein but he just needs a bit of reassurance from his jockey and then he is fine.
He has three lovely paces and really enjoys jumping.

He is fine with the farrier; we have him shod on his front feet only, but he could go back to barefoot. He is no problem to clip and loads and travels happily in our trailer.

We just want to find Rocky a home where he will be loved by his very own little person as he is a super pony with so much more to give. If he was a couple of hands bigger, we would not be selling him.

We have mainly done lots of hacking, all off the lead rein; weekly lessons, some local shows and a few pony club rallies.

Priced at £3,795 ono to include his nearly new saddle and bridle and all his rugs. Lots more photo's and video's available on request.

Description

Welsh Part Bred – Chocolate Dun – Gelding – 11 years – 12.1 hands

Charlie is a stunning stamp of a pony, with three lovely paces, he turns heads wherever he goes.

He is a true pony club pony and has attended many pc rallies, competitions, pony camp where is he is always impeccably well behaved and last year he qualified for Pony Club Regionals.

We have owned Charlie for the past 3.5 years. He had only been broken the year we purchased him, so he has mainly been produced by my daughter. What a wonderful adventure they have had together, countless rosettes in jumping, XC and their new passion in dressage, where they qualified for the pony club regionals last year and attended their first stay away show where he was hoof perfect and finished 6th individually in a large class.

We would say he would suit a 1.5 / 2nd pony home, we wouldn’t really want him to go to a lead rein home as this is not something he would enjoy. He loves a busy and varied life, so we feel we would like him to go to another pony club / competition home. He jumps consistently out at 50 -60cm but certainly has scope for more.

Charlie is a real head turner and we feel he would excel in showing / working hunter, the little bit of showing we have done, he has always been placed and even won two championships.

He is a mother’s dream out at pony club camp / rallies / shows, he stands at the trailer, he never gets hot / fizzy.

He is fab out hacking, not fazed by anything, good on the road with traffic and used to tractors. He hacks out happily alone or in company at the front or behind, my daughter rides him around the farm on her own and even does so bareback. He can be led off another horse.

He loads and travels well.

He is happy out with mares or geldings. Ours are out all year at night and in during the day and he does love his stable. He can pull faces by his stable especially around food time.

He is barefoot and never sick or sorry.

He really is a special pony, this is a very sad sale as my daughter is now ready for a step up, so please no time wasters as this is a heart-breaking sale, we would love to stay in contact with his new owners to follow his adventures.

Up to date with teeth, vaccines, physio and farrier.

He will come with tack and rugs.

£8,500
